1. to love the Lord
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. - Mark 12:30
2. to love their neighbors as themselves
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. - Mark 12:31
3. to wait on God
Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. - Psalm 27:14
4. to love their husbands
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. - Colossians 3:18
5. to love their children
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. - I John 4:7
6. to trust God
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. - Proverbs 3:5
7. to be in the world, but not of it
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. - Romans 12:2
8. to work hard with what God has given them
As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. - I Peter 4:10
9. to seek wisdom
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. - James 1:5
10. that God loves them no matter what
The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. - Jeremiah 31:3
There are so many things to teach our daughters; God's Word is full of wisdom for us to share with them. Share the words of wisdom you share or have shared with your daughters/granddaughters in the comments below.
