Are You Ready?

Are You Ready?
Titus 2:11-14, “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
God has made Himself known to everyone who has ever lived and He will make Himself known to everyone who ever will live. He imputes it in us to know that there is something, someone, higher, greater, than us.

God is that tug on your heart to do something, or to keep you from doing something.

We all make hundreds of decisions every day, small ones, big ones, insignificant ones; some that may be life changing. Everyday people everywhere prepare for the day and sometimes the week ahead, and, the really organized people may even plan for a couple of weeks or the month ahead. The Bible says not to worry about tomorrow, Matthew 6:34, “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself”, instead we should be preparing for eternity. Lord willing, tomorrow will come and go, as will next week, and next month, but, eternity will last forever; have you prepared for eternity?
Are you helping others prepare for eternity?

There are consequences to every decision you make, good or bad, and you reap what you sow, good or bad. Galatians 6:8, “For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” Even when we indirectly don’t make a choice, we are making a choice, and will reap what we’ve sown. John 3:18, “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God
Once you take your last breath it will be too late. If you have not believed on the only begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ, as your Lord and Savior, you will spend eternity away from Him, in hell; if you don’t make a choice, if you don’t choose, you are choosing hell. {John 3:18}

You are either for God, or against Him, there is no in-between, there is no grey area.
Jesus died for two reasons, to pay our sin debt, and to give us eternal life.
You may be secure in your salvation, but what about your spouse, your children, your family, friends and coworkers? Do you know that they are secure in their salvation? Jesus told us to tell everyone about Him in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Are you praying for the lost?
Where would you be if someone hadn’t of told you about Jesus or if someone hadn’t of prayed for you? I’d be lost in a sea of sin in a dyeing world if not for the prayers of whoever prayed for me and not for a good friend explaining to me when I was a young adult that there is a spiritual battle going on around us. Have we really done everything we can to tell everyone we know and meet about the saving grace of Jesus Christ?

Telling people about Jesus should rank pretty high in priority.

Romans 10:9-10, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
John 3:16-18, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
